John R. Pobocik

POBOCIK, John Raymond age 86 of Swartz Creek died Monday, July 04, 2005 at Hurley medical center.  The Mass Of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday July 6, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church 7563 Mary Street, Swartz Creek Fr. Amos Wischmeyer Celebrant.  Interment will follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4PM and 6-8PM Tuesday July 5 with a Rosary at 7:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Swartz Creek Senior Center or St. Mary Queen of Angels Church. John was born September 1, 1918 in Swartz Creek, the son of Andrew and Pauline (Kleinedner) Pobocik.  John married Edna (Keeler) on July 2, 1994 in Swartz Creek.  Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Edna; son Larry (Bonnie) Pobocik of Flint Township; daughter Lois (Michael) Kurhan of Texas; Step children Louise (Jim) Blythe of Flint Township; Peggy (Bruce) Ledwyk of Minnesota; Edward (Diane) Bigelow of Plainwell; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brothers Joe (Delores); Albert (Bertha) both of Swartz Creek; Alfred (Evelyn) of Midland; sister Pauline McGuire of Flint; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.  He was preceded in death by brothers Edward and George and sisters Regina, Helen and Anastasia.
