PANCHECK, John Paul  Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, May 12, 2005 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint with Rev. Fr. Douglas Osborn celebrant. Interment will follow the service at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a vigil service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice. Mr. Pancheck was born May 11, 1919 in Flint, the son of John and Anna (Romanowski) Pancheck. He married Alversa George on September 17, 1949. Mr. Pancheck served in the U.S. Army during World War II for three and a half years in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from General Motors as an inspector after 39 years of service and was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Surviving are: wife, of 56 years, Alversa George Pancheck of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: three sisters; two brothers.
