John Palmer

PALMER, John S. - Age 76, of Linden, formerly of Flushing, died April 24, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday April 30, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 - 8 PM Friday and 10 - 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Unity Christian Church, 5255 Linden Road, Swartz Creek. John was born November 22, 1939 in Flint, the son of Frank and Ernestine (Tait) Palmer. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. John was employed by General Motors and then EDS as a senior computer programmer. After his retirement he started a computer consulting company. He was a member of Unity Christian Church of Swartz Creek. John enjoyed farming, walking, exercising, and motorcycling. Surviving are: 2 children, John B. (Cheryl) Palmer and Laura (Joe) Rotchford; sister, Carol (Gerald) Dick; Linda Palmer; and uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
