John Erwin Van NORWICK

VAN NORWICK, John Erwin - age 63, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. JD Landis officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 3-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Christopher Reeve Foundation (www.christopherreeve.org). John was born October 3, 1946 in Flint, the son of Austin S. and Alice E. (Cross) Van Norwick. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Surviving are: three brothers, David (Diane) Van Norwick of Swartz Creek, James (Sharon) Van Norwick of Rockford, Lawrence (Vivian) Van Norwick of Swartz Creek; one niece and six nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1992 and his father in 2004. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Fostrian Manor, especially to Jill.
