MILLER, "Scott Cannon" John, age 45, of Kalamazoo, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at his residence. A memorial mass will be celebrated 1:00PM Friday, July 20, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Rd., Burton. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday, and a 7:00PM rosary will be prayed at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will also be held 12:00PM until time of mass at the church. John was born March 8, 1967 in Flint, the son of Marilyn (Walsh)Spohn. He enjoyed bicycling and going to the park. He admired emergency personell for the work they did serving the community. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn (Charles) Spohn of Swartz Creek; sisters, Kimberly Cannon of Flint, Celeste (David) Shephard of Grand Blanc, Larraine Edwards of Metamora and Julie (Salavadore) Gonzales of Florida; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by: cousin, Renee Knutson; grandparents, Evelyn and Mallen Walsh; sister, Theresa Spohn.
