John Meissner

MEISSNER, John William - age 78 of Hartland died November 23, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home. John was born September 21, 1944, in Detroit, the son of Harold and Mary (Hubbard) Meissner. He married Lynn Alsobrooks on November 14, 1969. John was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired from Michigan Bell (AT&T) and from Livingston County 911. John was also a fireman with Hartland Area Fire Department and an EMT for Livingston County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and putzing around the yard. John loved spending time with family and was an animal lover. He is survived by wife, Lynn Meissner; two daughters Jennifer Meissner and Kristine Scott; grandchildren Courtney, Taylor, Peyton, Kiana, and Jeremy; three great-grandchildren, A.J., Ava, and Oliver; sister Marilyn Fessler; and many nieces and nephews.
