McGAFFEY, John Donald - Age 82, of Fenton, died October 26, 2014. John was born March 14, 1932 in Detroit, the son of Donald and Rosalee McGaffey. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie married for 56 years; sons, Keller (Debra), Jason (Diana), Damien and Brennan; six grandchildren, Connor, Shealyn, Kaitryn, Brea, Kalen and Dylan; brothers, Martin, Paul (Dolores), David (Elizabeth), Donald (Sondra); sister-in-law, Kate. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dan. John owned and operated John D. McGaffey & Co. in Fenton for 24 years. John elected to donate his body to the University of Michigan for the benefit of students in advanced anatomical studies. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War and was a member of Fenton V.F.W. Post #3243. Services will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors.
