MACK, John A.- Age 81, of Flint, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Â Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Â Fr. Robert Copeland officiating. Entombment in the mausoleum at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Tuesday, with a 7:30 PM Scripture service. Mr. Mack was born March 22, 1925 in Birch Run, the son of Alex and Rose (Skerlecz) Mack. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He married Helen R. Zlatec September 2, 1950 in Flint and she preceded him in death March 28, 1996. Â He retired in 1980 from AC West with 33 years of service. Â He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Croation Fraternal Union #615. Â Surviving are: four children, Mark and wife Kathleen Mack of Burton, Michael and wife Kendra Mack of Swartz Creek, Marcia and husband Terry Raymond of Lennon, Matthew and wife Karen Mack of Galloway, OH; fourteen grandchildren, Rachel, Kelly, Megan, Michael, Nicholas, Ryan, Elizabeth, Anthony, Thomas, Terry, Julie, Amy, Erin, and Dayna; and thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Doris Fenton. Â He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Mack; three brothers, Francis, Alexander, and Steve Mack.
