KONDON, John  Age 90, of Flint, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Deacon Rodney Amon officiating. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Thursday and 2-4 and 6-9 Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Kondon was born February 6, 1915 in Alicia, MI, the son of Paul and Wilhelmina Kondon. He married Freda I. Komenda on February 24, 1940 and she preceded him in death on January 6, 1999. Mr. Kondon was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed by General Motors for 44 years and was the last of the Sit-Down Strikers to retire. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 598. He loved golf, working outside and gardening, but most off all he dearly loved his great-granddaughter, Grace Christine. Surviving are: son, John Joseph Kondon and wife, Judy of Flint; daughter, Barbara and husband, Ray Neely of Gaines; six grandchildren, Paul Kondon and wife, Mariana, Michael Kondon and wife, Sherrie, Laura Kondon, Raymond, Bob and Debbie Neely; great-granddaughter, Gracie Christine Owen; two brothers, Paul Louden and wife, Irene of Flint, Clarence Condon of Flint/Florida; sister, Mary Kondon of Arizona.
