KENLEY, John H., Jr.  Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at his residence. Visitation will be held 12-7 PM Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A prayer service will be held 4 PM Sunday with Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating followed by veterans honors performed under the auspices of Fenton VFW Curtis  Wolverton Post #3243. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Make-A-Wish Foundation c/o Hurley Medical Center or Swartz Creek Senior Citizen Center. Mr. Kenley was born October 1, 1923 in Detroit, the son of John H. and Emily (Stebner) Kenley. He was a graduate of St. Clair Shores High School and served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Kenley married Patricia Sheehy in 1942 and she preceded him in death on January 16, 1987. He had resided in Swartz Creek since 1956 coming from Harper Woods. Mr. Kenley was self-employed in construction retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Senior Center and loved fishing, hunting, golfing and playing Bridge. Surviving are: son, Dr. John H. Kenley III of Virginia Beach, VA; three daughters, Kathleen and husband, Harry Hopkins of Swartz Creek, Denise Sands of Flushing, Karen and husband, Steve Fish of Grand Blanc; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Kenley and wife, Lorraine. Mr. Kenley was also preceded in death by: his parents; son, Richard Kenley in 1989.
