John Keene

Keene, John Caroll- Age 91, of Flint formerly of St. Charles, died May 30, 2017. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of the United States. John was born February 9, 1926 in Indiana, the son of Carroll and Phyllis (Thompson) Keene. John was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. He worked at Boat Works in St. Charles and Bay City. John enjoyed fishing and jig saw puzzles. He loved animals. He is survived by his sisters, Ethel Ensign and Erma Rieger; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Phyllis Keene. John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter Keene, Wesley Keene; sister, Pearl Keene; brothers-in-law, Gerritt Ensing and Walter ("Rocky") Rieger.
