John "Jack" David Douglas

Douglas, John David "Jack" - Age 85, of Flint Township, died January 9, 2024. Private services will be held at a later date with Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Jack was born March 16, 1938 in Flint, the son of Donald P. Douglas Sr.and Lucille May (Vader) Douglas. He married Martha Elaine Brown on October 1, 1960, she preceded him in death November 12, 2002. Jack was a veteran of The United States Air Force serving in Korea. He retired from General Motors. He was an on call firefighter and EMT for over 20 years for Flint Township. Jack coached various sports throughout the years. He is survived by his son, Jody Shepard; grandchildren, Joshua (Felicia) Shepard, Kristen (Jeremy) Adcock, Candi Carpenter, Brian (Nia) Carpenter, Stephen Roesner, Michael Orr, and Carrie Orr; eleven great-grandchildren; friend, Kay Joseph; nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nikki; wife Elaine; daughter-in-law, Tena Shepard; two daughters, Vicki and Debbie; and son, John Jr. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
