John Henry

Henry, John Carlton Age 91, of Chapel Hill, NC, formerly of Grand Blanc, MI, died April 21, 2015. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. John was born November 9, 1923 in Texarkana, TX, the son of John Garland and Verda (Goodwin) Henry. John was a 1941 graduate of Flint Central High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in WWII. He was employed by Auker Homes in Grand Blanc for 26 years, retiring in 1987. He spent most of his life in the Grand Blanc area before moving to Chapel Hill, NC in 1993. John was a member of the Brooks Ave. Church of Christ, Raleigh, NC and a former member of the Bristol Road Church of Christ, Flint, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene; sons, Rocky (Kimberleigh) McCampbell of Chapel Hill, NC and Dennis (Janice) McCampbell of Raleigh, NC; grandson, David McCampbell; sister, Meda (John) Wysong of Elwell, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ila Brown; daughter Karron Williams; son, Kenneth McCampbell. John's love of life was expressed in all his endeavors.
