John Haugh

HAUGH, John "Dick"- Age 93, of Swartz Creek formerly of Angola, IN, died Monday November 21, 2016. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, December 1, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek. Pastor Hal Polk officiating. Visitation will be held 12 PM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of one's choice. John was born in Royal Oak, on August 15, 1923 the son of the late Herman Kennedy and Carrie Louise (Gruss) Haugh. He married Laura Ann Root in Lennon on May 30, 1946. Mr. Haugh enjoyed fishing, golf, playing cards, bowling, and daily walks. John served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII and retired from Perry Printing with 32 years of service. Surviving are wife of 70 years, Laura of Swartz Creek; children, Susan (James) Greer of Flint, Martin (Cynthia) Haugh of Byron, Carrie (Ronald) Parker of IN; nine grandchildren, Christopher (Carri) Greer, Bethany (Ronald) Bellmer, Rebecca (Bret) Borton, Jeffrey (Sandra) Haugh, Lori (Jeff) Smith, David (Kerri) Haugh, Ronald Parker, Breanna Parker, Lucas Parker; ten great-grandchildren, Shaunacey Borton, Branden Borton, Abbigale Bellmer, Zachary Bellmer, Joshua Greer, Katelyn Haugh, Jacob Haugh, Oliver Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jillian Smith. John is also survived by sisters-in-law, Louise Haugh of Flushing and Ruth Justice of Florida, sister-in-law, Harriet Root of Swartz Creek, brother-in-law, Charles (Shirley) Root of Bath, and many nieces and nephews.
