John Forbes

FORBES, John Alton - Age 59, of Fenton, passed away, Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Graveside Service 2:00 PM Thursday, March 16, 2023 at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery 4142 Flushing Rd., Flint. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in John's memory would be appreciated to Adopt a Pet Fenton. John was born October 22, 1963 in Flint, the son of John G. and Beverly J. (Lifsey) Forbes. He graduated from Lake Fenton High School in 1981. John was a life long carpenter. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, boating, waterskiing. John truly loved his home on Barnum Lake and working in his yard over 30 years. John was always one to tinker in his garage. You never knew what he was going to build next.

John is survived by, his mother, Beverly Murphy of Naples, FL; sister, Lisa (Rick) Porritt of Naples, FL; step mother Violet Forbes of Seminole, FL; his special uncle, Al (Joyce) Lifsey of Fenton; aunt, Bonnie (Dave) Mathis of Fenton; nephews, Nick (April) Porritt, and Derrick Porritt; and several cousins.
