John Kevin Folts

FOLTS, John Kevin - age 62 of Davison, passed on May 13, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Pastor Sid Fullwood officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-8 PM Saturday and 1-3 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Y.W.C.A. of Greater Flint and the Old Newsboys of Flint. John was born October 22, 1961, in Flint, the son of Jimmy and Persis (Kinnish) Folts. He married Shari Griggs on May 17, 1986. John was an attorney, a disc jockey and a tool and die maker at General Motors for 39 years, looking forward to his retirement. John was the beacon of humility, embodying the virtues of hard work, empathy and selflessness. He approached life with the commitment to lift up others. His remarkable ability to connect with people with a genuine concern touched the lives of many. His passion for nurturing talent within the music industry, coupled with his knowledge and unwavering support propelled numerous artist to new heights. John approached every challenge with grace and perspective, reminding us to cherish life's simple joys and prioritize what truly matters. John leaves behind a legacy of compassion and courage that will endure for generations to come. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to inspire us and guide us in our journey forward. Surviving are: wife, Shari; two children, William (Jessica) Folts and Kayleigh (Garret) Greer; grandson, Theodore John Folts; mother, Persis Folts; father, Jimmy (Sharon) Folts; three siblings, Keith Folts ,Vicki (Eric) Abbey, and Jennifer Jaroma; many nieces and nephews.
