FOLEY, John Dean Jack  Age 65, of Fenton, died Thursday, January 1, 2004 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, January 5, 2004 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton; Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-5 & 7-9 PM Saturday and Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A Scripture Service will be held 7 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign. Mr. Foley was born August 24, 1938 in Fenton, the son of Phillip and Belle (Kidder) Foley. He married Sandra J. Smith on July 19, 1957. Mr. Foley was a member of the first graduating class of St. John School, a graduate of Fenton High School and Flint Junior College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors, Delphi Division. Mr. Foley was past-president of Fenton Little League and instrumental in the Little League Complex. He also started the first Girls Little League. He was a past member of the Parks and Recreation Board. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he was on the Art & Environment Committee and served Sacristan. Surviving are: wife, Sandy; daughter, Jill (Paul) Adams of Holland; son, John D. Foley II of Hamilton; grandchildren, Foley and Kelly Allen, Leslie, Scott and  Katherine Adams, John D. Foley III and Heather Foley; great-grandchildren, Anabelle Brown and Alyssa Allen; sister, Florence (Joe) Nagy; brother, Max (Marianne) Foley of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Paul Sapiano of Fenton; sisters-in-law, Norma Foley of Fenton, Carol (Donn) Jaggi of Fenton, Linda (Sam) Buccuti of Florida; several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Sapiano; brothers, James (Marge) Foley, Thomas (Regina) Foley, Leo Foley, Phillip Foley. A special thanks to Dr. Jim Martin and Fr. David Harvey.
