John Elbert Estep

ESTEP, John Elbert - Age 54, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, July 28, 2003 at Detroit Receiving Hospital.  Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, August 1, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor James Nelson officiating.  Interment in Bendle Cemetery, Clayton Twp.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home 6-9PM Wednesday and 1-4 and 6-9PM Thursday.  John was born September 26, 1948 in Moline, IL, the son of Jack Warren and Vivian Melba (Lemaster) Estep.  He had resided in Swartz Creek the past 26 years, coming from Arizona.  He married Sharon Louise Johnson November 27, 1975.  He had been employed by ABF Freight Systems since 1984.  Surviving are: wife, Sharon Louise; 4 children, Michelle and husband Devon Dutton of Colorado, Melynda and husband Les Haberman of Colorado, Damon Estep of Swartz Creek, Theresa Estep of Grand Blanc; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Brandy, Brady, Dominique, Dewayne; mother, Vivian Estep of Swartz Creek; 3 brothers, Jack and wife Lorrain of TN, David of NV, Ralph of Swartz Creek; 2 sisters, Patricia and husband Doug Roehrman of NV, Sharon and husband Jack Perry and MD; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Melissa Japp.  Friends may share their online condolences for the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
