John D. ENGSTROM

ENGSTROM, John D., of Swartz Creek, age 95 died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. John was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 20, 1914 the son of Frank and Ellen (Forsberg) Engstrom. He was married to Aili Edna Aho and she preceded him in death. John was retired from Buick Mtr. Division Plant 36, after many years of service. Surviving are two daughters: Cheryl Hunt of Flint and Linda Williby of Grand Blanc; a son Mark Engstrom (Kelly) of North Carolina. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Adam Hunt, Daniel Hunt, Shelly Engstrom and Seith Engstrom; 5 great-grandchildren, Cierra Hunt, Briana Hunt, Colter Hunt Brandy and Alexa, a sister, Frances Ritzke of Wisconsin and a brother, Willard Engstrom (Hazel) of Flint and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 Noon on Tuesday until service time.
