John Miller

MILLER, John Edward- Age 77, of Swartz Creek, died November 28, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday December 2, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Sunday and 10AM until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. John was born February 21, 1942 in Saginaw, the son of Edward and Elsie (Beyerlein) Miller. He married Sheryl (Sommer) on February 7, 1970 in Reese MI. John Graduated from Vassar High School in 1960. He earned his Bachelors of Business from U of M Flint and served in the National Guard from 1964-1970. John was a Ham Radio operator for over 50 years - K8ILL. He also enjoyed fishing, playing euchre and metal detecting a.k.a. treasure hunting. He shared his love of animals with his wife. Surviving are: wife, Sheryl Miller of Swartz Creek; daughter's, Kimberly Miller of Swartz Creek, Karrie (Quinton Merrick) Miller of Grand Blanc, Kristen (Ron Litton) Miller of Warren; grandsons, Eric Seelye, Christopher Seelye and great granddaughter Brynnlee Seelye. John is also survived by his sister Marian Gugel of Vassar and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
