John Leroy Cease

John Leroy Cease, age 71, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center. Private arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. 

John was born on July 8, 1953 in Flint the son of the late Ralph and Maxine (O'Hare) Cease. He began working for GM Fisher Body for many years until the closure of the plant. From there he continued to work for many factories until his retirement. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering around with new projects. 

He is survived by his son, Joshua Cease; two granddaughters, Ella and Abigail Cease; and six siblings, Lola, Steve, Blake, Diane, Jeannie and Lynn. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two brothers, Bradley and Clifford Cease. Tributes may be shared with the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
