BUCHANAN, John Lesley  Age 44, of Swartz Creek, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 24, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, July 28, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Goodman Cox officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Christen Buchanan Educational Fund. Mr. Buchanan was born November 10, 1958 in Flint, the son of Jeter Thomas and Norma Ione (Mallard) Buchanan. He married Susie Waycaster on August 5, 1993 in Flint. Surviving are: wife, Susie of Flint; two daughters, Alyssa and Lauren Buchanan, both of Lansing; grandson, Christen Buchanan; step-son, Scott Runnals of Grand Blanc; mother, Norma Buchanan of Flint Township; two sisters, Virginia (Steve) Bean of Flint Township, Janice (Larry) Wardwell; brother, Philip Buchanan, all of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Buchanan was preceded in death by: his father, Jeter Thomas Buchanan in 1986; brother, Russ Buchanan in 1998.
