BARNEY, John E. Sr. -- Age 77, of Durand, died Wednesday August 3, 2016. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Saturday, August 6 at St Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Fr. Gene Geromel celebrant. Visitation will be held 11 AM until time of service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the John E. Barney Sr. Memorial Fund. John was born September 10, 1938 in Durand the son of Earl and Lelah (Frazier)Barney. He is survived by his wife Janice; 2 sons, John Jr. (Patricia) Barney, Matthew (Colleen) Barney; grandchildren, Brooke, Noah, Mason; sister, Anita Tallman, Barbara (Mike) Juntunen.
