TREADWAY, Joe T. -- Age 75, of Swartz Creek, died February 12, 2012 in Arkansas. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, February 18 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Interment in Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-8:30 PM Thursday, 1-4 and 6-8:30 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions in lieu of flowers to the family. Joe was born February 23, 1936 in Independence County, Arkansas, the son of Claud and Ruby (Tillman) Treadway. He married Joy Snell on August 24, 1955 in Swartz Creek. He worked for AC Spark Plug for 32 years retiring in 1989, and Superior Pontiac Cadillac for 7 years. He was a member of the Swartz Creek First Baptist Church and F.O.E #3814. Joe enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening and working part time at the Flint Golf Course. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and traveling to visit relatives. He is survived by wife, Joy; children, Jim (Kelly) of Gaines, John (Dorene) of Alaska, Donna (Eric) Pierce of Georgia and Deborah (Jeff) Smith of Gaines; 11 grandchildren, Meggan, Kate, Nick, Amber, Josh, Kristy, Jenny, Alex, Shelby, Jesse, Breanna; 5 great-grandchildren, Sklyar, Decklan, Dae Lynn, Vynessa, Kameron; sister, Evelyn (Jesse) Small; brother, Billie (Patsy) Treadway; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William; 2 brothers, Tillman "Boe" and Alva Treadway; 2 sisters, Dorothy Whaley and Imogene Wiltrout.
