Joanne Switzer

SWITZER, Joanne Valentine - age 85 died December 10, 2022. A memorial mass will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the church. Joanne was born August 20, 1937 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Gerard E. and Marcella J. (Trombley) VanRossen and was a 1955 graduate of Milford High School. She married Robert T. Switzer on July 6, 1973 in Novi. Joanne worked in retail for many years and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Surviving are: husband, Robert Switzer; son, Jeffrey (Mariann) Philpott; daughter, Marcella Philpott; grandchildren, Halie, Kylie, Meggan and Chaice, Aylssa, Keegan, and Derek; sister, Sandra (Ed) Tokarski. She was preceded in death by son, Kerk Philpott on November 20, 2022; step-son, Todd Switzer; sister, Christine Waggener; and brother, Gerard VanRossen.
