PORTER, Joanne Delores - age 90, of Fenton, died November 12, 2020. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a Private Memorial Service will be held. Joanne was born February 13, 1930 in Crystal, MI, the daughter of Otho John and Ruth Irene (Ogreen) Orcutt and was a graduate of Fenton High School, Class of 1948. She married Bryan McKinley Porter on November 25, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2005. Joanne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, Order of Eastern Stars #248, American Legion Auxiliary # 38, the Child's Study Club and was in the Hand Bell Choir at her church in Florida. She was an accomplished seamstress and an avid crafter. Surviving are: eight children, Milton Porter of Fenton, John Porter of Sterling Heights, Timothy Porter of Fenton, Robin (Tom) Vacca of Swartz Creek, Ruthanne (Eugene) Reid of Fenton, Colleen (Richard) West of Milton, FL, Bryan Porter of Fenton, Tami (Dan) Spiece of Brighton; two daughters-in-law, Rose Porter of Fenton and Teresa Byers of Flushing; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Moore of Linden. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Bryan; son, Terry; and grandson, Michael. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
