Joanne Marie O'NEILL

O'NEILL, Joanne Marie - age 74, of Flint, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at her residence. Services will be held 11AM Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-8 Friday, November 13. Memorial contributions may be made to the Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. O'Neill was born on January 4, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of Clifton and Marjorie (Laker) Hudson. She and David Edward O'Neill were married on May 14, 1955. She retired from Genesee Bank after 11 years of service and was a former member of the American Legion Red Arrow post. Mrs. O'Neill enjoyed weekends in the summer at Leisure Lake, her goldfish pond, bird watching, and especially enjoyed her granddaughters. She also made many fond memories as a band parent for Flint Southwestern High School. Surviving are: son, Shane and wife Shalynne Gould O'Neill; 2 granddaughters, Erin Elizabeth and Morgan Renee all of Swartz Creek; 2 grand-dogs, Sadie and Bailey; many cousins and several special neighborhood friends along with the families of L.J. and Martie Myers, Dennis and Carole Gould, and Darrell and Sue Gould.
