Joanne Gallaher

Gallaher, Joanne Olivia - Age 94, of Grand Blanc, died August 6, 2018. Services will be held at 12 PM, Wednesday, August 8 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Private interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service. Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Joanne was born on March 9, 1924 in Grayling, Michigan, the daughter of David and Mary Ann (Collier) Montour. She married Arnold Gallaher on December 29, 1945 and he preceded her in death in January of 2008. She enjoyed being with family, painting, babysitting, knitting, crocheting and she made porcelain dolls. She also worked as a secretary at Difco during World War II. Surviving are seven children, James (Marjie), David (LaRee), Marty (Justine), Jeff ( Bert), John (Anita), Mary (Mike) Rule and Debbie (our special person); grandchildren, Alicia (Jason) Hinds, Patrick (Jill) Gallaher, Kevin (Olga) Gallaher, Christopher (Christine) Gallaher, Lindsey Gallaher, Faith Gallaher, Natalie (Jeremy) Switzer, Katharine (Eric) Joyce, Tony Rule, Amber (Josh) Young; great-grandchildren, Harper, Bodhi, Viktor, Seth, Peyton, Alana, Thea, Rufus, Kailyn and Ayden.
