BOYDEN, JoAnn L. Age 78, of Fenton, died Sunday, November 27, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, December 3, 2016, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment to follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A rosary will be held 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in JoAnn's name to St. John Giving Tree. JoAnn was born November 6, 1938 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Joseph and Frances Mary (Baker) Cappo. She married Edward Lee Boyden in Fenton on May 4, 1959. JoAnn attended Eastern Michigan University and was a founding member of Beta PHI Gamma Sorority and a member of The Daughter's of Italy. She was a homemaker, but also served as the head bookkeeper at State Bank of Fenton and worked at VG's of Fenton. JoAnn was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. JoAnn is survived by: her beloved husband of 57 years, Edward; 3 children, Laura (Raymond) Drahms, Edward (Susan) Boyden and Jenny (Jon) Webb; 6 grandchildren, Amy, Angela, Joseph, Brianna, Edward Jr., and Aubrey; 4 great grandchildren, Maddie, Alex, Lily and Olivia; siblings; Joey (Dianne) Cappo, Euel, Kevin, Annette, Tony, and Annie.
