Joan Wirostek

WIROSTEK, Joan Marie - Age 85, of Swartz Creek formerly of Fenton Township, died Friday, July 29, 2022. Per Joan's request cremation has taken place and a "Celebration of Life" Mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 19, 2022 at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton (A live stream of the Mass will be available on Joan's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.

Joan was born December 3, 1936 in Flint. The daughter of Joseph Gloss and Eva (Dierda) Gloss.  She was a 1954 graduate of Flint Sacred Heart Catholic high school.  She married Robert J. Wirostek April 30,  1955 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  While residing in Swartz Creek for the past three years, she had lived in Fenton township the previous 30 plus years, all as a member of Saint John's Catholic Church Parish.

She was a member of the Swartz Creek Friendship Club, the Sacred Heart Girl's Class of 1954 and leaves a legacy of Love that she shared with all those she met. Her Heart was fullest when she was her family.

Surviving are: her husband of 67 years, Robert J.; children, Cary of East Tawas, Geneine "Tina" Wolff of Duluth, MN, and  Ramona (Fred) Ward of Hardyville, SC; grandchildren, Jayme Robinson of Duluth, MN, Amber Ferguson of Michigan, Ralph J. Hudak of Auburn Hills, and Eva Hudak of Auburn Hills; 4 great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her sons, Robert C. and Dominic M. Wirostek; daughter, Renee' L. Wirostek; parents and family; brothers, Harold and Gerald Martinka; and sister, Eleanor Martinka.
