STEINER, Joan Sally -- Age 79, of Mt. Morris, died, August 13, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, August 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 10 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the 5P Society of the U.S. Joan was born July 21, 1935 in Lansing the daughter of Hugh and Agnes "Marie" (Adams) Leemon. She married Lamar " Bud" Steiner in Toledo in 1983; he preceded her in death in 1988. Joan was a secretary for the Michigan State Police Post 26 in Ypsilanti for 27 years, and then Lawnet for 7 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Saline. She was an active member of the Montrose Senior Center. She enjoyed reading , playing cards and enjoyed her family. Surviving are: 3 children, Pamela Manning of Toledo OH, Benjamin (Julie) Mens of Petersburg, MI, Sandra Manssur (Stevie Bingham) of Davison: grandchildren, Tiffany, Hillary, Benjamin, Marc, Christopher, Abraham, Roman, Shelby, Taylor: 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Gabriel, Matthew; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: husband Lamar "Bud"; 3 brothers, Harold, Edgar and Bill Leemon: and infant sister, Betty.
