Joan Inez SELLEY

SELLEY, Joan Inez, age 88, of Burton, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Rev. Carl A. Simon officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A rosary will be prayed 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Joan was born June 1, 1923 in Flint the daughter of the late Joseph and Madalene (Scalvini) Cosi. She married Royal A. Selley in Flint and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1985. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving are her 4 sons, Robert Selley (Marcia) of Grand Blanc, Rick Selley (Denise) of Fenton, Ronald Selley of Swartz Creek, Randy Selley (Kathy) of Burton; 9 grandchildren, Andrea, Robby, Sara, Sammy, Matthew, Bryan, Nathan, Nick, Zeta; 4 great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters. The family extends thanks to Avalon Hospice for the kind and comfortable setting they provided for Joan in her last days.
