Joan O. Ramey

RAMEY, Joan O. (Rice)  Age 70, of Fenton, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, August 19, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Willis Hurley will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-5 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Joan was born August 31, 1934 in Oakland County, the daughter of Alton and Alice Burnham. She was a graduate of Waterford High School and had lived in Fenton most of her life. Joan was lovingly known as Granny. Surviving are: children, Vern Rice of Gaines, Pam and husband Donald Estep of Fenton, Ted and wife Pam Rice of Fenton, James and wife Terri Ramey of California, Deborah and husband Thomas Brown of Alabama; grandchildren, Lisa and Joe Estep, Seth, Dustin and T.J. Rice, Brandon, Matthew, Mark, Ben, Joe, Jason, Ben, Eric; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, Josh, Alanna and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her husband James Ramey in 1992.
