Joan Nicks

Nicks, Joan M - Age 87, of Grand Blanc, died January 6, 2023. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 12 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday, January 11 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Wounded Warriors Project. Joan was born October 13, 1935 in Frankenmuth, the daughter of Ross L. and Almida May (Nutter) Flint. She was a 1953 graduate of Mt. Morris High School. Joan married Robert Glenn Nicks in Mt. Morris on December 15, 1956. She worked as an inspector for General Motors Ternstedt. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, puzzles, flower arranging, crafts, interior decorating and writing. Joan is survived by her husband, Robert of Grand Blanc; daughter, Cynthia Ann Nicks of Tawas City.; grandchildren, Meagan McGraw, Corie Stewart, Joshua Stewart; great-grandchildren, Robert Aldridge, Olivia Poynter, Jerri-Lynn Joan Stewart, Cooper Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Keith "Paul" Flint, James "Jim" Flint, Joyce Flint and Kay Kohler; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Jade Aldridge.
