Joan Marie IVES

IVES, Joan Marie - age 78, of Lennon, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, May 16, 2011 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Steven Mattson celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-8 PM Saturday and Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 6 PM Sunday evening. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of service Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America or Area 27 Special Olympics. Mrs. Ives was born October 30, 1932 in Flint, the daughter of Walter and Cecilia (Stefanski) Jakiemiec. She married Ron Ives and he preceded her in death on August 7, 1991. Surviving are: seven children, David (Gail) Ives of Lennon, Susan (Lloyd) Vollmuth of Lansing, Kathy Ives of Howell, Karen (Jeff) Marks of PA, Mary (Jim) White of West Bloomfield, Patti (Mark) McClanahan of Goodrich, Peggy Ives of VA; 12 grandchildren, Tessie and Patrick Ives, Brian and Brad Bammert, Greg and Jeremy Marks, Samantha White, Elaina McClanahan, Andrew and Alexander Edmonds, Jason and Lorna Vollmuth; brother, Wally (Susan) Jakiemiec of Burt, Rosalie (Bob) McKerchie of Mt. Morris; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine DuCharme and Cele Androsky.
