ESTEP, Jim - Age 63, of Genesee, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at his residence with his family, after a brief but fierce battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Larry Survance officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris. Visitation will be from 12-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Eagle's Nest Church Building Fund. Jim was born in Hurley, Virginia on November 14, 1944, son of Floyd and Lassie Estep. Â Jim married Vera Artis on September 6, 1975 in Cleveland, OH, although they spent most of their life together and raised their only child in the Mt. Morris area. Â Jim made a career for himself as a truck drive, employed for the last 22 years at Tri City Aggregates. Â His free time was most favorably spent with his three dogs, Boomer, Daisy, and Molly. Â Further left to cherish his memory are his wife Vera, daughter, Jamie; son-in-law and best friend, Don Adams; grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Adams; 11 siblings: Joe, Paul, Thomas (Marie), Jean Estep, Â Edna Tester, Artha Otto, Geraldine Allen and Faye (Travis) Turner of VA, Taylor Allen of KY, Jossie Slone of OH and Lily Cantrell of NC.
