Jimmy Curry

CURRY,   Jimmy, age 66, a resident of Genesee, died Monday September 5, 2005 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Jimmy was born on October 11, 1938 in Herman, Arkansas a son of Andrew C. and Frances (Pepper) Curry.  He has lived in the Flint area all his adult life.  On March 10, 1962 he married Sharon Cooper in Flint.  Jimmy retired from General Motors Fisher Guide Division as a fork lift truck driver after 371/2 years.  He loved the outdoors, but most of all loved his family.  Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Sharon; 3 sons; Jimmy Curry and wife Dawn of Genesee, Gerald Curry of Genesee and Terrence Curry and wife Anna of Spring, Texas. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren.  Further survivors include a sister, Evelyn Faulkenberry, 2 brothers; Lester (Joetta) Curry, Leon Curry and a brother-in-law, Harry (Carol) Cooper.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Guy and Clint.  Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just South of Hill Rd.)  Rev. Joe Carpenter will officiate and burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 P.M. today and Thursday from 12 noon to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. and Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. .   Memorial gifts in Jimmys name may be made to a Jimmy Curry Memorial Fund.
