Jimmie Keel, age 83, of Davison, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. Funeral Services will be private, and the family asks that you continue to keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time. Jimmie will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery with his late wife, Marie.
Jimmie was born on June 1, 1939, in Doniphan, Missouri to the late Woodrow (Virgin) Keel. He married the love of his life and best dance partner, Marie, on November 15, 1966, in Corning, Arkansas. Jimmie worked as a cook at some of the most prestige restaurants in the area and many popular places such as the Plush Pony, Beach Tree and Jay & K Country BBQ. He was a woodworker, coffee junkie who enjoyed mowing the lawn and watching Westerns.
He is survived by his daughter, Justine (Scott) Amy, son, Scott Richardson; four grandchildren, Kyle (Jackie) Richardson, Owen (Jessica) Richardson, Paige (Ryan) West and McKenzy (Chris) Basler; five great-grandchildren, Averie Newman (apple of his eye), Sophia West, Otto Richardson, Grady West and Reese Richardson; daughter-in-law, Patty Richardson; twin brother, John (Elaine) Keel and brother, James (June) Keel. He is further survived by many other dear family friends and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Marie and three sisters, Bonnie, Phyllis (Al) Sexton and Pat (Floyd) Spears
The family would like to thank the staff of The Cottage of Davison and McLaren Hospice for the wonderful care given to Jimmie and compassion shown to his family.
