GERWOLLS, Jim A. - age 48, of Howell, died May 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430 with Chaplain Kristi Kiel officiating. Visitation will be held 12-3 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Meals on Wheels America. Jim was born October 2, 1973 in Livonia, the son of Ronald and Janice (Bloom) Gerwolls. Jim graduated from University of Detroit’s Physician Assistant Program and delivered extraordinary care to many patients as part of the Independent Emergency Physicians Group in the Providence Hospital network. Jim had an incredible bedside manner, always providing calm and expert guidance in both his professional and personal life. Despite dealing with his own significant health concerns, Jim was always there to take a call and provide reassuring and invaluable advice to his family for any kind of concern. His friends and family will remember him as a "give you the shirt of his back" kind of guy. Family was the light of his life and he loved attending his daughter’s dance recitals, soccer games, and watching them perform flute and percussion. Jim cooked and gardened with love and passion, growing a vast vegetable and flower garden. His food was extraordinary and shared with many…. may his recipes live on. He also enjoyed spending his time golfing, hunting, camping, playing guitar, and driving around in his pickup truck with his dog, Finn. His legacy will live on through his beloved daughters, Caroline and Vivian; dear friend and mother of his children, Patty Gerwolls; his siblings, Matt (Stephanie) Gerwolls of Royal Oak, Jill (John) Walker of Hartland, Janet (Jeff) Yosick of Clarkston, Stephen (Meghan) Gerwolls of Waterford; many nieces and nephews; Uncle Paul and Aunt Sharron of Linden; and his dog, Finn.
