Jill Denise Pettigrew

Jill Denise Pettigrew - Age 73, passed away April 14, 2025. A memorial service will be held 6PM Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 3PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Bentley Manor #14 or Valley Area Agency on Aging. Jill was born August 19, 1951, the daughter of the late Bill H. and Dorothy (Rodgers) Pettigrew. Jill was a graduate of Carman High School. Jill had a keen sense of humor, "starring" in many funny situations. She was a member of Freedom Works of Genesee County and Rainbow Connection. Jill had an adventurous spirit, was known for her kind ways and was always appreciative. She welcomed all friends and visitors with a big smile and open arms. She is survived by her sister, Jackie Pettigrew; nieces and nephew, Jessica Colt (Greg Robertson), Clara Sunshine Robertson, Cort Pettigrew, Kara Pettigrew; devoted aunts and uncles, Diane Early, Bonnie and Bob Campbell, Marilyn and Rick Pifer; many cousins, including Gayle and Dan Russ; devoted friend, Carol Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Matt Pettigrew. During the past eight years she resided at Bentley Manor. Jill enjoyed a cozy, loving and respectful environment to call home, where the staff fondly referred to her as "Jillybean". A heartfelt thank you to the exceptional staff at Bentley Manor, especially Charlotte, Genesee Health System, Valley Area Agency on Aging, Mid-Michigan Hospice; special friends, Chaplain Wally Rose and Oliver Westerbelt.
