Jessica Speer

Speer, Jessica Marie - Age 40, of Flint, died December 8, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, December 15 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. For those who will not be able to attend Jessica's service a livestream will be on her obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Jessica was born March 18, 1981 in Flint, the daughter of Robert and Brenda (Hill) Houghteling. She loved children. Jessica was a teacher and coached basketball, volleyball, softball, and cheerleading. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, going up north, eating seafood especially crab legs and shrimp. Jessica had a big heart and loved and cared about everyone. She overcame obstacles with strength and always put others before herself. Jessica is survived by her children, McKenzie Nord, Benjamin Nord, Ryleigh Speer; mother, Brenda Houghteling; father, Robert Houghteling; grandfather, Albert Hill; grandparent's, Brenda and Mike Larkam; brother, Kyle (Autumn) Houghteling; uncle, Dennis Hill; nephews, Zane, Kaden, Braylon; nieces, Madison, and Anlynn; cousins, Dennis Hill, Amanda Hill, Ashley Christopher; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Doug and Bertha Drayton; grandma, Linda Hill; grandpa, Dale Houghteling; aunt, Joan Weekley; uncles, Fred Weekley, and John Klun.
