Jesse H. Starnes, Jr.

STARNES JR., Jesse H., age 73 of Burton, died Wednesday December 21, at home. He was born in Monroe, North Carolina the sonof Jesse H. and Juanita (Mills)Starnes Sr. Mr. Starnes has been an area resident for many years. He was employed at General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1988 from the Fisher Body Division in Grand Blanc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a life member of the Davison V.F.W. Post 4087. Along with loving his family, Mr. Starnes enjoyed helping other people. Surviving are four children, Randy Starnes of Burton, Theresa Freebury (Jeffrey) of Burton, Jesse Starnes III  of Burton and Patrick Starnes of Davison. There are 5 grandchildren, Corey Freed and Cameron, Tyler, Amber and Haley. Also surviving is a sister Margaret Brown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Mildred and Jackie and 2 brothers; Charles and Donald.  Private services and burial took place today at Meadowview Memorial Gardens in Davison.
