Jesse JoAnn Rockwood

ROCKWOOD, Jesse JoAnn - age 44, of Fenton, passed on from her earthly body on October 5, 2023. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 1 PM - 2 PM Saturday, October 21 at the funeral home. Born September 22, 1979, Jesse was a lifelong resident of Fenton, Michigan. She was a devoted and loving mother to her four children and gave her all for them. Jesse was a talented storyteller, writer and artist. She showered affection with her thoughtful gift-giving, wonderful cooking and gentle unconditional love. To know her was to love her. She surrounded herself with interesting people so she could tell more interesting stories. She always had a funny story or comment for everything. She was a lover of nature, family and maryjane. Jesse preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca (Becky Matejcek) Rockwood, Grandmother, JoAnn (Smith) DeMott, Grandfather, Jack D. Matejcek, Aunt Patricia (Matejcek) Plummer, Grandfather, Robert Byron Coon, Sr., Uncle David Coon, Jeffery Williamson, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her children, Nathanial Jared Rockwood of Comstock Park, Michigan, Jade Noelle Johnson of Fenton, Michigan, Maizie Rebecca-Jeannie Williamson of Fenton, Michigan, Ava Kandalynn Williamson of Fenton, Michigan; her father, Byron Coon II of Flint; sisters, Ambrosia Yurk, Andrea McGinnis, Veronica Coon; brother, Robert Byron Coon III; aunt, Marena (Matejcek) Stadler; step-father, Mark Rockwood; long-time partner, Randy Dunsmore, Jr., many nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.
