MILLER, Jesse James - Age 92, of Fenton, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jesse's life will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contribution to the Salvation Army. Jesse was born November 5, 1923 in Bay City, the son of Jesse Er and Annabele (Wilt) Miller. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Marines. He married Carolyn J. Freeman October 4, 1959. Jesse retired in 1974 as a Lieutenant from the City of Flint Police Department, then went to work for the Carpenters Union as a Finish Carpenter retiring in 1989. He enjoyed sailing, woodcarving, and painting. Surviving are: his wife of 56 years, Carolyn; son, Michael and wife Nancy Miller of South Carolina; daughter, Ann Miller of Fenton; 3 grandsons, Ben and wife Kate Miller of Oklahoma, Nick and wife Amy Miller of Holt, and Jess and wife Lauren Miller of Florida; 3 great grandchildren, Keiren, Hailey, and Jaxson; sister, Mary and husband Harley Tody of Goodrich; brother, Joseph and wife Theresa Miller of Flint; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Churchill of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
