Jesse James

James, Jesse Arthur- Age 80, of  Fenton, died April 12, 2022. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 30 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel,  1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held 11AM - 1 PM Saturday April 30. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Jesse was born July 22, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, the middle son of Richard and Josephine (Grickalunas) James. He had worked at the Detroit VA for many years. He was a percussionist playing for several community bands including the Livingston County Concert Band and the Flint Concert Band.  He sang in several choirs including the New Century Choral and church choirs. He was involved in theater groups including the Fenton Village Players. Surviving are: his son Kenneth (Pam) of Canton; and the children and grandchildren of Barb Rankin. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harry and Richard; longtime companion Barb Rankin; and former wife Virgie Kent. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
