WOOD, Jerry R. - Age 79, of Spring Hill, FL. formerly of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, March 18, 2017. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Jerry was born October 23, 1937 at home in Swartz Creek the son of John Wesley Wood and Mary Ellen (Allen) Wood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Katherine J. Bennett on November 26, 1961. Jerry owned and operated Wood Construction. He was a member of Victory Apostolic Church in Lutz, FL. Surviving are wife of 55 years, Katherine; three children: Kimberly (Todd) Baucknecht of New Port Richey, FL, Todd (Julie) Wood of Wake Forest, NC, Paul (Amanda) Wood, Land O' Lakes, FL; 8 grandchildren; two brothers, Allen (Monica) Wood, James Wood; several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
