Jerry Look

LOOK, Jerry Alan was called home on Saturday, November 3, 2019 at the age of 84 at his residence in Caledonia, MI. He was born on March 3, 1934 in Flint, MI, the son of Anna Mae and Leo Look. He spent part of his youth in Duluth, MN. He returned to Flint and is a St. Michael's alumnus where he excelled at sports. He pursued his education at General Motors Institute and dedicated his career to General Motors as an engineer. He married Patricia Roach in 1953 and they shared a family of six children. They were members of St. John Vianney Church and he worked to provide a Catholic education for all his children. In 1986, Jerry married Patricia Reid in Flint where they lived until retirement in 1992. They built their dream home on Houghton Lake and enjoyed a life among great friends. Due to his ALS diagnosis, they moved to Caledonia to be closer to family. Jerry was an avid golfer, duck hunter, a life-long Notre Dame fan, and self-affirmed ping-pong and cribbage champ. He loved his family, traveling, and his dear grandchildren. His legacy to all Look children was the lesson of always doing the right thing. Everything we are, you helped us to be. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, his father, Patricia Roach-Look, his son, Michael, and granddaughter, Elizabeth. He is lovingly survived by: his wife of 32 years, Patricia; his children, Jerry (Paula) Look, Mark (Lorraine) Look, Tim (Karen) Look, Martin Look, and Valerie (Dan) Behm; special grandchildren, Jonathan (Rachelle) Look, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Holko, Lindsay Look, Mark Look, Zoe and Carlie Behm. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek (Mundy Twp.) with Pastor David Randall officiating. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Hill Creek Church. Deep gratitude to Heartland Hospice, U of M ALS Clinic and Kent County first responders.
