Jerry Kerley Sr.

KERLEY, Jerry Lee, Sr. - Age 72, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, December 13, 2021. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes; Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, The family requests that everyone wear a mask that attends. Jerry was born August 31, 1949 in North Wilkesboro, NC, the son of Charlie Howard and Flora Belle (Anderson) Kerley. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army as a Sniper and he received a Purple Heart. He married Lisa Renee Lee May 3, 1997 in Flint. He had resided in Swartz Creek for the past 35 years coming from North Carolina. Jerry retired in 2006 from AC Spark Plug after 29 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dogs, and his coffee club at Garrison Hitch in Flint. He was a long time member of the Living Water Worship Center, where he loved to worship the Lord.

Surviving are: his wife, Lisa Renee; children, Sherry Lynn (Robert) Palmer of Birch Run, Jerry Lee Kerley, Jr. of Flushing, Shannon Jenice (Jesus) Aguilar of Flushing, Timothy-James Brandon Kerley of Swartz Creek, and Chrystee Carolynn Kerley of Swartz Creek; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Benge of North Carolina: brother, Don (Nancy) Kerley of North Carolina; Martha ( Larry) Crabb, Marilyn (Benny) Royal both of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and 4 dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Kerley; sister, Annie Kerley; father-in-law, James Lee. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
