Jerry Cormier

CORMIER, Jerry Delbert - Age 81, of Fenton, died Friday, March 13, 2015 in Florida. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 20, 2015 at Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, 2581 North Long Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Lake Fenton United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association. Jerry was born July 13, 1933 in Rosebush, MI, the son of Aime and Emma (Small) Cormier. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division as a Paratrooper. He was a graduate of GMI. Jerry married Joanne M. Armstrong May 2, 1953 in Flint, MI. He retired from Buick Motor Division Plant #36 as a Design Engineer. He was a member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Chuch. Jerry enjoyed his summer home in Fife Lake and wintering in Florida. He was an avid golfer. Surviving are: his wife of 61 years, Joanne; son, Mark and wife Sheri Cormier of Grand Blanc; daughter, Jill and husband Matt Remillard of Fenton; 5 grandchildren, Renae Remillard, Brina Rolison, Eric Remillard, Kristyn Cormier, and Carley Rolison.
