Jerry Bowman

BOWMAN, Jerry Wayne - Age 71, of Burton, passed away April 2, 2021. Services will be held in June in Shields, KY. Burial will be April 26, 2021 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Jerry was born August 15, 1949 in Evarts, KY, the son of Ernest and Zelma Faye (Sanders) Bowman and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving in Vietnam War, where he received Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Expert Badge. Jerry was a self-employed builder for over 25 years, retiring in 2011. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Jerry was a member of Bible Fellowship Church. He was a devout Christian and above all, was a teacher of the word of God.  He is survived by his wife. Paula Sue Bowman; children, Leslie (Tom) Schupper of Bangor, PA, Eric Bowman of Cincinnati, OH, Jason Daniel Bach of Davison,  Robert Daniel (Kasi) Bach of Portland, OR, James Daniel (Alissa) Bach of Lapeer and Katherine (Chad) Nelson of Burton; spiritual daughter, Sirisha (Sandy) Tony of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Nathaniel Schupper, Vann Jacob Nelson, Vera Grace Nelson, Violet Grace Nelson, Rebecca Tony and Joe Schupper; brothers, Ernest (Tracy) Bowman, Jr, Roger (Tracy) Bowman, Tony (Renee) Bowman all of Evarts, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Poore; brothers, Bruce, Jeff and Randy.
